Fruit Dehydrated

Here at Natco ingredients, we stock two popular varieties of raisins, fruit dehydrated from the grapes grown in the finest vineyards in the world.

Golden Raisins SA – grown in South America and exported from Chile and Argentina.  These are fruit dehydrated from seedless grapes and naturally dried.  They are high in fiber and provide vitamins A & B.  These plump and juicy raisins are known for their delicious, sweet flavor.

Green Raisins China – grown in various regions of China.  These are seedless, naturally dried, and non-sticky varieties.  They come in various grades, from 95% to 70% green, and in different sizes.  Some of the best green raisins are grown in the Turpan basin of Xinchiang, the hottest and driest area of China.

The nutritional value of fruit dehydrated is well known, and raisins are among the most beneficial foods you can eat.  They are convenient snacks to carry around, to put in school lunches, or take on camping and backpacking trips.  A valuable source of iron, they provide high energy and low fat.  The properties in raisins provide the same anti-oxidants as are found in other fruit dehydrated from apricots, prunes, apples, and the like.  The natural drying of the grapes in the sunshine guarantees minimal loss of essential vitamins.  Raisins are said to promote good oral health, because of the oleanolic acid that specifically targets the bacteria causing cavities and periodontal disease.  Raisins are excellent complements to cereals, salads, baked goods, and other dishes.

It is not always possible to find fresh fruit in your grocery store, or at the market, depending upon the climate and the length of the growing seasons.  Raisins are easily stored in their own jars, packages, or other sealed containers for several months.  They can be placed in the refrigerator for storing over longer periods of time, if necessary.  This means you’ll have fruit dehydrated and available year round.
